The EU Member States agreed in June 2006 that the public sessions of the Council of Ministers' meetings should be broadcast on the Internet. The Council Secretariat is responsible for the broadcasts, and is assisted during Finland's Presidency by the Presidency webteam. In addition, the press conferences for informal ministerial meetings and other major meetings held during the Presidency can be viewed via the Presidency website at www.eu2006.fi/webcasts.

The webcasts are broadcast live in English on the website, but may also be viewed later from the archive. Broadcasts of the public sessions of ministerial meetings should be available in all official languages of the EU, on the Council's website at www.consilium.europa.eu/videostreaming.
