Finland’s EU Presidency approaches the finishing line

Finland’s EU Presidency is drawing to a close, after a great many meetings both in Finland and Brussels. This website has been the Finnish Presidency’s main communication channel since 31 May. The home page has given visitors information on all the most important meetings. We have also provided direct webcast coverage of a large number of Council meetings in Brussels and informal ministerial meetings in Finland.
The eu2006.fi website will stay online after the Presidency has finished and, in January 2007, it will continue to be updated with information on the number of visitors to the site, for instance.
We in Finland’s EU Presidency Web Team are gradually preparing to hand over to our German colleagues. Germany has already launched its own Presidency website.
We wish Germany the very best of luck and a successful six months!
