Turku
Turku is Finland’s fifth city with a population of about 175,000. It is Finland’s oldest town with a history that goes back to the 13th century. Turku is situated at the mouth of the River Aura, some 165 kilometres west of Helsinki.
There are frequent rail, bus and flight connections between Helsinki and Turku. Trains take about two hours and run every hour. There are several daily flights between Helsinki and Turku and the journey takes about 35 minutes.
There are also daily flights between Turku and Stockholm and between Turku and Copenhagen. Turku Airport is served by Finnair, Finncomm Airlines and SAS/Blue1.
