At the ASEM 6 Summit, European and Asian Heads of State or Government will discuss ways to strengthen multilateralism, sustainable development, climate change, energy security, dialogue among cultures and civilisations, and globalisation and competitiveness. The ASEM Summit to take place in Helsinki during Finland’s Presidency of the EU will be the sixth such summit meeting. The first was held in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1996. The ASEM 6 website is the main channel for disseminating information on the summit.
